Eligibility
If you are an active duty servicemember or a member of the National Guard or Reserves and called to active duty, you may qualify for SCRA benefits.
Benefits
SCRA benefits are effective on the date your active duty begins and generally end on the date you are discharged or released from active duty.
SCRA benefits may include:
- Reduced interest rate to 6% on SCRA-eligible loans
- No late charges or over limit fees
- Protection from foreclosure and repossession
Benefits may cover:
- Credit cards
- Auto loans
- Personal loans
- Equity loans and lines of credit
- Some mortgages
Submitting Your Documents
- Gather your activation orders. You can send your activation notice up to 180 days after the last date of your active military service.
- Upload your documents to PenFed.org/secureupload.
We will review your request and let you know if we need more information.
Notes:
- If your active duty status goes beyond the end date of your original orders, send us your updated activation orders and we will extend your SCRA benefits.
- Commissioned officers in active service of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and of the Public Health Service may also qualify.
